Pence to Keynote Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference 

LANSING, Mich., September 4, 2019 – The Michigan Republican Party announced today that special guest Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States, will keynote the 33rd Biennial Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference on September 20th – 22nd. The event, hosted at the historic Grand Hotel, brings together conservative leaders from across America to discuss solutions to the critical issues facing our nation. Vice President Pence will be the first ever sitting Vice President to attend the conference, which has been held since 1955.

From the beginning of the Trump/Pence administration, Michigan has experienced a renaissance in its manufacturing economy, with nearly $8 billion in new automotive investment this year alone. The administration also took the lead on numerous issues of paramount importance to our state such as the Soo Locks expansion, and over $300 million for Great Lakes Restoration.

The Honorable Betsy DeVos to Speak at
the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference 

LANSING, Mich., August 30, 2019 – Today the Michigan Republican Party announced that the Honorable Betsy DeVos will be speaking at the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference which is being held at the Grand Hotel September 20th- 22nd. DeVos has been a passionate advocate for reforms that advance equal opportunities for all students and has advocated to return greater education control to states, localities, and parents.

DeVos served as chairman of The Windquest Group, an enterprise and investment management firm. DeVos has also served on the boards of numbers non-profit organizations, including the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Kids Hope USA, ArtPrize, Mars Hill Bible Church and the Kendall College of Art and Design. In addition, DeVos who is a Michigan native served as Chair of the Michigan Republican Party for six highly productive years.

MIGOP Announces Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy to Join the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference

LANSING, Mich., August 27, 2019 – The following is a statement from Michigan Republican Party Chairman Laura Cox, announcing Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy as a special guest at the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference.

McCarthy, who is the senior most Republican in the House of Representatives, was first elected to California’s 23rdCongressional District in 2007. Following the 2018 Midterms, Congressman McCarthy was chosen by his colleagues to become Republican Leader.

MIGOP Announces Congressman Dan Crenshaw to Join the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference

The Michigan Republican Party is excited to announce that Congressman Dan Crenshaw will be joining this year’s line-up for the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference to be held September 20-22ndat the prestigious Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island!

A former Navy SEAL, Crenshaw served 10 yearsincluding five tours of duty, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

In 2012, Crenshaw was hit by an IED, losing vision in his right eye. As a Navy SEAL, he earned two Bronze Stars (one with Valor), the Purple Heart, and the Navy Commendation Medal with Valor, among others.

In the 2018 Midterms, Dan Crenshaw was elected to the 116thUnited States Congress representing Texas’ 2ndDistrict. He serves on the Budget and Homeland Security Committees.

Dan appears as a regular guest on Fox News Channel and has been published in The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. A true American hero who has served our country honorably, Crenshaw is seen by many as a rising star in the GOP.

Dan believes in service before self and understands there is no higher calling than working for the American people. The integrity, leadership, vision and tenacity he gained through his experiences as a Navy SEAL remain present every day in his fight for common sense solutions in Congress.
